Chef's Table is never solely focused on food and chef themselves. It tells people's stories,which serve as clear threads connecting their lives. In that sense, we can all relate to them, finding ourselves in their stories. Some common narratives are:

1)About cooking as a career:

Cooking was not a decent career choice, yet they change how their parents' perception through their efforts. How they ascertain cooking as a life-long passion and how their lives are connected to cooking(Asma cooked to fill the void of living in London as a housewife) .

Why can they be outstanding in their job: Have the emulative spirit to prove themselves(Asma to prove herself no worse than boys. She exhibits real heroism in empowering her female community after gaining momentum herself )

2)About memories around food:

Their initial memory about food came from grandma cooking for/with them. They all relived those dishes later in life;

Dining is not just about eating,but more about people gathering around the table,chatting and laughing, creating shared memories. In this way, modern people eating takeout alone in the room,staring at screens is a pathetic scenario, only for the purpose of filling their stomach.

3)About food,eating and cooking:

They all revolutionized people's perception about certain cuisine in one way or another. Examples are southern food and animal-eating;

How certain kind of cuisine and eating habits are built upon people's economic position, local weather and soil condition and lifestyle etc. (The African-American community);
