No matter how many times I have watched, it is almost impossible to comment on Schindler's List.
The truth we have already known about this masterpiece includes:
a) Academy Awards winner
b) tribute to Jewish people, in memory of 40 million lost in WWII
c) the true history about how to save life, and seek soul
d) the most influential trademark for Steven Spielberg
This year, the 70th anniversary for WWII, we mourn those people lost in the holocaust. For most of them, we know nothing, names, gender, age, the real story behind those victims, all in the ash. They were buried under the earth, namelessly.
What we do remember are those survivors, who grave the moment on history, who make descendants understand what happened there, who lecture us what we should avoid in this world.
Nazism, populism, the plague have overspread from Europe to the rest of continents. They are not eliminated. Some countries, they try to divert people's eyes to international conflict. Evermore, they train "hatred" in children's eyes, they put poison into their mouths, they give people the excuse to hate, rather than to forgive. They consider it is a kind of diplomatic policy to punish those uncooperative governments. It is a kind of tactic, but how evil you are to open Pandora's Box, and release devil?
We hate war, but we love peace more than the fear, the hate, or anything on the evil side. Every time people seek Moses, or someone like Oskar Schindler, to lead us to the new world. We don't need Lucifer, or Satan, even they claim their identity. A better world is to save life, "whoever saves one life, saves the world entire."
I will remember this in the rest of my life.
