小竹子粉小梅子 • 亨利四世：第一部分:那些震撼我们的独白
看完亨利四世上部，完全拜倒在莎士比亚笔下跌宕的剧情和华丽的辞藻（虽然我开始是冲抖森去看的）。电影前一半因为词汇捉急经常跟不上节奏，但看到后面终于明朗了，两条故事线恰到好处，哈里王子混迹市井而内心高贵，杰克小民本性难移，注定失去王子的友谊。两人的两段独白堪称上部点睛之笔。
1. (哈里王子) I know you all, and will awhile uphold the unyoked humour of your idleness. Yet herein will I imitate the sun who doth permit the base contagious clouds to smother up his beauty from the world, that when he please again to be himself, being wanted, he may be more wondered at, by breaking through the foul and ugly mists of vapours that did seem to strangle him. If all the year were playing holidays to sports would be as tedious as to work. But when they seldom come, they wished for come, and nothing pleaseth but rare accidents.
So, when this loose behaviour I throw off and pay the debt I never promised, by how much better than my word I am, by so much shall I falsify men's hopes. And like bright metal on a sullen ground, my reformation, glittering o'er my fault, shall show more goodly and attract more eyes than that which hath no foil to se it off. I'll so offend to make offence a skill, redeeming time when men think least I will.

所以，当我抛弃了这些放荡的行为， 我会担起那些本该由我承担的，我从未承诺过要担起的重担，向人们证明我并不像我平日表现出的那般荒唐， 我的作为会远远超出他们对我的期望。 像是了无生气的大地上发出耀眼光芒的金属， 我的洗心革面，会被以往的错误衬托得格外令人动容， 使我显得比那些从未沉沦过的人更加卓越。 我把肆意妄为当做我的手段， 当所有人都对我绝望了的时候，我会让他们看到力挽狂澜，洗心革面的我。
2. (杰克市民) What need I be so forward with him that calls not on me? Well, 'tis not matter. Honour pricks me on. Yes, but how if honour prick me off when I come on? How then? Can honour set to a leg? No. Or an arm? No. Or take away the grief of a wound? No. Honour hath no skill in surgery, then? No. What is honour? A word. What is in that word, honour? What is that honour? Air. A trim reckoning. Who hath that honour? He that died a Wednesday. Does he feel it? No. Does he hear it? No. 'Tis insensible, then. Yea to the dead. But will it not live with the living? No. Why? Detraction will not suffer it. Therefore I'll none of it. Honour is a mere scutcheon. And so ends my catechism.

还有太多铿锵有力的对白，经典的魅力就是连一个门外汉看完都如此折服。废话不说了我读原著去了。。。
