Another movie about Chinese history by Westerners. What's the difference between this one and Red Cliff? Red Cliff is much better, from some perspectives.
I remeber Hao Min said one word in this movie. 'maybe I have betrayed God, but i cannot return.'
This sentence is totally fine with western culture, but absolutely ridiculoous with Chinese mindset.
'God' is a word for Christians and 95% westerners were Christian in early 19th century. When they say God, HE is that Almighty God. Hao Ming used to be a Communist, and later a 国民党, and how could he possibly use Christine language?
