Plot Summary:Six months have passed. Golding is on the run and Anna believes she has seen him but Harry, who has eschewed gambling, resists Eve's notion that they use the bracelet to locate him. Returning to work with Suri and the discredited Orwell Harry investigates a serial killer who murders his, seemingly random victims, with a ricin injection. Partly with assistance from the bracelet they track down the culprit, Amit, a disturbed young man who is taking revenge on those whom he believed ruined his life but he eludes them and the chase leads to a casino where Harry meets Isabella, a woman with a bracelet identical to his. After Amit has again escaped Harry encounters Isabella a second time and asks if the bracelet can help catch him. Eventually, following an attack on several police officers Amit is caught, thanks to Isabella's information and Harry goes to see her, unaware that they are being watched.
6 months after rescuing his family from Golding, Harry Clayton is a very different man. He hasn't laid a bet in 186 days and has sworn off using the power of the bracelet - until he meets a woman with an identical bracelet.
