Plot Summary:In the latest Edo era, royalistic Shishi (patriots) who tried to overthrow the Bakuhu gathered in Kyoto. On the other hand, Shinsengumi was formed to oppress Shishi, and the fight between them had been getting more and more fierce. One day, a man on a horse showed up and saved Shishi from Shinsengumi's cold-blooded swords. He, Tanzen Kurata (Ken Matsudaira), was a lone wolf who wore a black cloth on his face and was called Kurama Tengu.
激動の幕末。倒幕を目指す勤皇の志士たちは京都に集結。片や、幕府側でも志士たちを弾圧する新選組が結成され、双方の争いは激しさを増していた。そんな中、馬を駆り新選組の血に飢えた剣から勤皇の志士たちを助ける男が現れる。黒頭巾に顔を包み鞍馬天狗と呼ばれるその男、倉田典膳（松平健）はどんな組織にも属さない一匹狼だった…。
