Plot Summary:Set in Georgetown, Guyana, SOUTH AMERICA, 'The Seawall' is the story of an older Guyanese woman, Marjorie, and her 10-year old grandson Malachi who share a very special bond. After receiving a visa to live in America with his mom; whom he hasn't seen since he was a baby. Malachi wrestles with leaving his Grandma and best friend Timothy behind while contemplating a new life in the United States. Meanwhile, Marjorie struggles to convince her grandson that life in America would be better as she confronts her own feelings of loneliness and abandonment in a country that she loves. 'The Seawall' is a narrative short film shot entirely on location in Georgetown, Guyana -- the first of its kind to ever be made in the country. The cast consisted of local Guyanese non-actors and non-professionals working alongside the Guyanese director and his crew from America.
