Plot Summary:Back in the white light district after several years of matrimonial imprisonment, there was demonstrated to Henry Mason a fact that's sad but true - he discovered that Broadway's memory is a curtailed faculty - \"out of sight out of mind.\" Henry Mason, who has been married several years, takes advantage of his wife's absence from home to return to his old playground among the white lights, with the expectation that things will be the same for him. He discovers to his great astonishment and chagrin that people recall their recollection of him with difficulty. He is forced to drink alone, and he arrives home from Broadway dark and empty at 10.30 P. M., drunk and disgusted.
